Josh has been teaching piano for the better part of 10 years. He specializes in classical music but enjoys teaching a variety of genres including jazz, pop, rock, salsa, cumbia, ragtime, video game music, and film music. He has a high retention rate with his students and has taught some of the same students for over 8 years. He knows that everyone is different so he meets them where they are and goes from there, setting satisfying goals to achieve. He wants students to play music and therefore express themselves, so artistry as well as technique is important but also developing an ear for listening and analyzing music. Lastly, he takes pride in helping his students achieve their goals whether that be playing something beautifully or just learning how to read and understand music. Whatever you are looking for in music, Josh can help.
