CJ has over ten years of professional teaching experience, he is passionate about helping students develop not only their musical skills, but also their confidence, creativity, and personal expression. His studies include coursework through Berklee College of Music, along with continued independent study and real-world musical experience that have shaped his approach as an educator. CJ believes that every student learns differently. Whether working with young beginners, teenagers, or more advanced musicians, He tailors each lesson to the individual student's age, learning style, pace, instrument, goals, and interests. His teaching philosophy balances strong musical fundamentals with an encouraging and supportive environment where students feel comfortable exploring and growing. While CJ is happy to dive deeply into music theory and the logic behind music when students or parents desire it, he places equal importance on developing self-confidence, creativity, improvisation, and songwriting skills. His goal is to help students become not only capable musicians, but also confident individuals who can express themselves through music and enjoy the lifelong rewards of learning an instrument.
